THE LAWRENCEVILLE KENNEL CLUB, INC.
The Lawrenceville Kennel Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of pure-bred dogs and the health and well being of all canine citizens.
THE LAWRENCEVILLE KENNEL CLUB, INC. was founded in 1979. Its membership is composed of breeders, exhibitors, and conscientious pet owners with these goals in mind:
1. To further the advancement of interest in purebred dogs;
2. To conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows and obedience trials under the authority of the American Kennel Club (AKC) rules and guidelines;
3. To advance the knowledge within the community in general on dog care and training as well as improving the breeds and management of purebred dogs.
In addition to two AKC licensed all-breed dog shows and obedience trials and an AKC Agility Trial held each year, the Lawrenceville Kennel Club sponsors training classes in obedience (open to all dogs), a puppy kindergarten, show conformation classes, and educational and public awareness programs. We offer the AKC Canine Good Citizenship test as part of our classes.
The Lawrenceville Kennel Club holds regular monthly meetings on the fourth Tuesday of the month except in June, August, November and December. The November meeting is usually held the third Tuesday of the month so as not to conflict with Thanksgiving. A member picnic is held during the month of June and a Christmas party is held in December. There is no meeting in August. All other membership meetings are held at the training building and start at 7:30 PM. Most meetings include a speaker or program in addition to the business meeting.
Our Officers, Board of Directors, and various committees meet throughout the year.
